Kevin Murphy Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Kevin co-founded Provenio in 2016. Over the last twenty-five years Kevin has built a number of highly successful insurance and planning practices based on his unrelenting passion to help families grow, safeguard and manage their wealth for generations to come. Kevin earned his BS in Marketing from the University of Colorado Boulder.
Ben Durrant Co-Founder and Chief Investment Officer
Ben co-founded Provenio in 2016 and is the Chief Investment Officer. Prior to Provenio, he was CIO of a large single family office and before that, a Director at ICG Advisors. Over the last twenty years Ben has also worked as a trader for Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank and Vantis Capital Management. Ben earned his BS in Psychology from Tufts University and his MBA from Columbia Business School with a concentration in Finance and International Business.

Darren Chappell, CFA, CAIASenior Vice President of Investments and Chief Operating Officer
Darren joined Provenio in 2020 and is responsible for directing the investment team and leading the firm’s internal management strategy. Prior to joining the firm, Darren was a macro trader at Moore Capital and Wellington Management. Darren earned his BS in Economics and International Development from the University of Bath, UK. He is an active CFA charter holder and member of the Milken Institute’s Young Leaders Circle.
Jeremy ChusedSenior Vice President of Investment Operations
Jeremy joined Provenio at inception in 2016 and is responsible for investment operations. Prior to joining Provenio, Jeremy was SVP of Investment Services at Tippett, Moorhead & Haden and before that, an Associate Director with ICG Advisors. Jeremy earned his BS in Advertising with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Texas.
Reshma Patel Vice President of Operations and Chief Compliance Officer
Reshma joined Provenio in 2022 and is responsible for business operations and compliance. Prior to joining the firm, Reshma was Senior Manager of Investor Relations at Kairos Investment Management Company and before that, Marketing Manager with Canterbury Consulting. Reshma earned her BA in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from California State University, Fullerton.
Jim Cao, CFA Director, Investment Research
Jim joined Provenio in 2017 and is responsible for fundamental investment analysis. Prior to joining the firm, Jim was VP of Research at The Strand Partners and before that, an Equity Analyst at Guggenheim Investments. Jim earned his BS in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Finance from Cornell University.
Jake KazarSenior Associate, Investment Research
Jake joined Provenio in 2021 and is responsible for investment manager research and diligence. Prior to joining the firm Jake was an officer in the US Air Force. He graduated from the Air Force Academy in 2015 where he majored in Management and also received his Master’s degree in Business from Marshall School of Business at University of Southern California in 2020.
Iman JebaraAssociate, Investment Operations
Iman joined Provenio in 2022 and is responsible for client servicing, operations, and reporting. Prior to joining the firm, Iman was an Investor Relations Analyst at Kairos Investment Management Company and before that, a Paralegal at a Personal Injury and Workers Compensation law firm. Iman earned her BS in International Business with a minor in Management from Fairfield University.
Nolan PalmerAnalyst, Investment Research
Nolan joined Provenio in 2023 and is part of the firm’s investment team. He assists with conducting comprehensive research and due diligence. Prior to joining the firm, Nolan was a research intern at Canterbury Consulting. Nolan earned his BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from California State University, Long Beach.
Kaitlin SheddChief of Staff
Kaitlin joined Provenio in 2023 and is responsible for administrative operations and executive support. Prior to joining the firm, Kaitlin worked across the education and public health landscape, and served as a Teach for America Corps Member in Chicago, IL. Kaitlin earned her BS in Social Policy with a concentration in Integrated Marketing Communications from Northwestern University.
Kyle TamaruJunior Analyst
Kyle joined Provenio in 2024 and provides support to the firm’s investment research, operations, and client service teams. Prior to joining the firm, Kyle interned with two hedge funds providing investment analysis and operational support, and a venture capital firm as a research analyst. Kyle earned his MS in Finance from the University of California, Irvine.
